I’d like Bambu Studio to store each printer’s settings and recall them upon switching between multi-device printers.
Bambu Studio has the multi-device feature, but your settings for each printer do not change when one switches devices.
I’d like to see the selected nozzle, plate type, last filament used, and process settings stored for each printer so that when you switch between devices, the settings are recalled. This capability would be beneficial when selecting a printer after closing and opening Bambu Studio and when switching between devices.
This would be so awesome. I can not comprehend that this basic feature is not yet implemented.
It always takes so long to change to the correct filament and print settings when switching lets say from a A1 to the P1S. Filament and print settings should change when switching the printer profile automatically.
I recently switched back to Bambu Slicer, and Orca Slicer had this capability. If I set my filaments, profile, etc. for a P1P, then switched to A1, everything would be the way I set it when I switched back to my P1P. Considering my other slicer isn’t working now with the latest update, it’s pretty frustrating to have to have multiple copies of each file to print on different printers.
oh my goodness why is this not a thing already?! I didn’t realize it before getting the H2D (as I had a couple P1S) but it is infuriating needing to go to the device tab to go back to the prepare tab. Nevermind the fact that if I’m trying to print a similar object on different printers, its like starting all over each time AND you lose what you did when you switch printers.
Any update on if this will ever be added? It is really annoying having to re-select the printer, custom filaments, and custom print settings every time i switch between my P1S and H2D. Anyone know a work around?
Not implemented, and haven’t seen any plans for it either. I stand by my original ask for this beneficial feature, especially for those who add more printers.
From what I can tell this is working as you’d want? If I go to devices tab, select my X1C, go to prepare tab, and select “Sync Info” my printer’s settings are populated based upon what I selected on the device tab. If I do the same procedure and switch to my H2C, it’s printer settings get populated, including bed type. Any changes I’ve made to quality, strength, etc. stay between switching. Well, you don’t have to make the change on the device tab first, but it’s my habit so when I got to print, it’s already on the right model. I guess if you change your printer on the prepare tab, slice, and then go to print you can change your printer in the popup window too.
Sorry, coming out here for a mini-rant about this lack of feature.I switch between 4 different printers, and having to go to the devices page to pick the “active printer” THEN going to the prepare page to actually slice the file is obnoxious. I should be able to pick a printer from the prepare page and sync the information accordingly, I don’t know why this is such a difficult feature suggestion.
If printerdropdown.select then {setactiveprinter(selection) && resyncinfo()}. Done.
