About Retractation and Bambu Studio

What does it mean? The retraction is completely disabled or the retraction is active with the default settings, ie those ? (example bamboo PLA)

In English, that tab is named “Setting overrides”.
'nuff said.

Thank you, my English is poor but I understood this point! But that doesn’t quite answer my question!
Because just checking the boxes shown a by default value. So for me, when i check a box, it means i select the value , not i change it !

I don’t understand.
There are default settings set for the printer, like retraction length and speed.
You can use different settings for specific filaments that need a different setting.
To do that, you go to this tab, select what you want to override and put in a new value.

ok i will try to be more clear :
When you open the setting for a filament provided by BambuLab the first time, and go in the tab “Setting overides”, on the screen you have all chexboxes unchecked. Generally, when a chexkbox is unchecked, it’s means that the option is disabled. So, when you open the tab “Setting overides”, all the checkboxes are uncheked : so for me it means that all the options fort retractation are disabled, so globally the retractation is disabled !
Do you understand ?

Those are overrides. If those boxes are unchecked then defaults are used. Those defaults are in Printer settings.
You don’t need to touch those unless your filament needs specific settings, like lower/higher retraction length or speed.

When a box is not checked, default values are used.

When a box is checked, the default value can be seen and changed. If you hover the cursor over the value, an explanation will pop-up.

If you change a value, save the profile, and then remove the check, the value returns to the default.

ok, it’s clear now
Thank to all
