Hi all,
I would like to print a technical material for the first time and I bought a spool of ABS-GF.
I read on the Bambulab website that you can use the 0.4 nozzle but the 0.6 nozzle is recommended (obviously in hardened steel)
I don’t have the 0.6 one… what should I pay particular attention to if I use the 0.4mm nozzle?
I’ve printed close to a hundred spools of Bambu ABS-GF with the .4 nozzle without issue. Due note that the P series should have the nozzle and extruder gears changed to the hardened steel version.
Depending on vendor and their formulation, you might be at higher risk of clogs. If an oversized 0.5mm chunk of glass fiber / cf / glowinthedark happens to be lurking in that spool, it’ll let itself be known real fast 0.6 is recommended generally as prophylaxis to poor filament-manufacturing controls for the filaments with $stuff stuffed in them.
Outside of that it should be largely the same, expect more wear on PTFE tubes, extruder gears.
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Thanks for your feedback and yes, I have ordered and have already received the hardened gears for the extruder group of my P1s
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Thanks for your reply, to avoid having to wait a week, instead of ordering a spool of ABS-GF from Bambulab, I tried to buy (on Amazon)
a spool of ABS-GF from Eryone… I don’t know, I’ve never tried Eryone (no type of material) I hope I made a good choice anyway.
