Access to download files from Print History?

Hi, I’ve come across this a few times.

We print a file, and it prints perfect, and then you print 20 other files, and go back to the original, but want it printed in multi material, but can’t remember what settings were used for said print.

It would be nice if we could download the 3MF, or whatever file is sent over the cloud, so we can import the project with the correct settings?

Or you could save the project when you print it.

I’ve been doing that since.

However, there’s one file in particular that I’m having issues with, and its gotten alot of attention when I didn’t think it would, now I’m having issues printing it to the same standard that I did before. lol

This thread is a touch old, but I was just searching for the same thing and came across two bits of info that may be helpful:

  1. In your MakerWorld account settings, you have the options – save my print history & save my print file.

Then in the Bambu Handy app, under the “Me” section there is a “Print History” item, where you can view the print settings, and launch a re-print.

(I realize these features may not have been available at the time of the original post, but figured I’d contribute with what is available now  )

I print 2 kg of a tpu part every 3 months. It is a very difficult part to print and took months to dial my settings. I somehow lost all settings in my project file when I tried to add another printer in Orca. I can’t seem to replicate the settings in the file I have been printing. Luckily for now I can reprint it from my history in the app but have no other way to print it.

Where is the history saved, in the bambu cloud or in the printer? Is the app the only place to see your history? I would really feel better if I could download or permanently save that 3mf or gcode file.

That history file is all I have and I am terrified I am going to lose it because of the long period of time between prints of this file.

Thank goodness someone once invented the Save command.

Then someone bettered that with the Save As…

What I am missing is an export of files sent to the printer. I need something like…

Date, File Name, Run Time, Filament Used, Completion status
1/25/24,PN1234,2.28,34,Complete
1/26/24,PN2321,4.71,31,Fail

It looks like they are saved to the micro sd card, you might be able to plug the card into your computer and pull them off of it. I’ll update yall if it works

Software updates to Bambu Studio can also be a factor. The update before last changed some support parameters somehow and I had tweaked the support angle to keep it out of places I didn’t want it. After the update it was putting support where I didn’t want it again and again I had to tweak the setting to get it fixed.

I think when all is said and done, if you want to print lots of something and not have to deal with settings or slicer changes is to save the G-code. And even with that, printer firmware updates could still change things up.

Definitely agree. After the update, something changed and I can’t get quality prints like the first time with standard printing.

Where are you seeing all the prints being saved to the microSD card? Is it in a hidden folder or somewhere not obvious? If I send a print to the printer, then it’s saved to the microSD Card but if I just “Print” or print from the app then it appears nothing is saved locally. I

Bambu Handy has a Printing History menu under the [Me] tab. This does not relate to the SD Card though.

Bambu Studio can access the SD itself. In the [Device] tab under Micro SD, select models.

On the P/A series of printers all prints are saved to the SD card. On the X series you have to turn on the “Save copy of print to SD card” feature (as well as add a SD card).

Ah, ok, I assume “Save copy of print to SD card” is the “Cache cloud print files to MicroSD card” in the print options?

Correct, apology for the incorrect verbiage.

No worries - I just wanted to be sure it was the same thing - thanks again for pointing this out!

in bambu studio desktop can you edit from print history?
