Accidentally configured 0.4mm while printing with 0.2mm hotend

Hi all,

I tried my 0.2mm nozzle for printing minis and it was awesome.
However, I later printed a 3MF file with 0.4mm nozzle configured, while the 0,2mm head was still installed.

I had no blockages, I didn’t even realize I did something wrong, until I noticed it limited my filament selection.

  • This was pretty much all pla basic and matte PLA
  • I don’t see any issues in normal prints
  • Nothing blocked or failed
  • It was at most half a dozen small prints

Is there a way to make sure I didn’t damage the nozzle by trying to push more filament than the nozzle might have liked?

Wouldn’t worry about the nozzle getting clogged you’ll have more pressure coming back towards the end of the hotend/heatbreak where heatcreep and backpressure would cause internal and possibly external clogs/break the extruder, check for damage after you switch it out but remember .2 is not steel

If there is no visual damage, print a test model; if the results are as good as expected, you can assume the hotend is in proper condition.
