I’m new this week to Bambu Studio and so far am loving the transition, however I recently began playing with Adaptive Layer height (something I used to program by layer numbers) and notice that this automatic feature is not quite as precise as my old manual method.
I’m printing a parts storage box from MakerWorld and wanted to use the setting to smooth out the fileted edge transitions on both sides of the casing; however it didn’t come out nearly as expected.
On the next pieces I did an experiment, turning on Adaptive at 0.25 and smoothing radius at 8, to half the pieces and left the other half with my standard settings. The adaptive height pieces look like garbage. My pieces look great. I stopped the print and re-did it using my settings and they came out perfect. Would love a bit of guidance on how to get consistently good transitions using this adapter layer height tool .
