Add a language translation feature to Makerworld

Makerworld needs to be able to translate the language of posts and comments.

I see many models and comments in Makerworld that i cant read. It would be nice to have an option to click that would translate the text into my language.

I’m sure this would help others also since Makerworld has a world wide audience.

I submitted a ticket as an improvement suggestion to the Makerworld team.

What do you think?

That option is already there in your browser like Edge in Windows.

Not sure if this also applies to translate English to other language, but to translate into English:
On Google Chrome, right click at the page, then choose Translate to English. One can also highlight a block of text and right click and select Translate Selection to English.

Often I’m reading via my phone on the Bambu Handy app. No translation there.

It’s easier for us if they implement it built into Makerworld, but I know how to do it in browsers on my PC.

I agree with you! Actually one of my first tickets about 2 weeks after getting my P1S in October was to suggest this.

Thanks for the suggestion.
This is in our plan.

Late to the party but the search brought me here …
The translation feature is now available and is pretty nice but has major dowside… At least for non-native english speakers but with a rather decent level of english… I mean when your english level is better than the auto-translated one …

Which is my case ! I’m French but I’d rather read english posts in … English and not the -not always good- auto translated text …

I know there’s the link-button “read in original langage” But I need to click fo EACH comment and EACH answers of that particular page …

Isn’t it possible to add some system of black / white list of langages you want to be transalated / not translated from ? Would be awesome !

… I’ll create some feature request for this !
