I often prefer to use Archimedean chords over concentric pattern.
But I have one issue with this pattern, it leaves a tiny gap along the wall. It would be prefect if this gap was filled
Does it get better if you use Arachne?
No I’ve tried but it remains the same unfortunately.
I tried with a cylinder primitive and could recreate your problem in Studio. Unfortunately, I was not able to resolve it there.
Orca fortunately is another matter:
This seems related to the model size of line width.
My suggestion:
- reduce top surface line width (e.g. 0.3mm)
- increase outer wall line width (e.g. 0.5 mm)
The correct value relates to your model size, so try a few to get the best combo.
Other than that, you can use a smaller nozzle.
Does arachne just make the line wider or does it still do infill here?
Arachne allows a variable wall width below the nozzle diameter. I have had good results down to 60% nozzle diameter although experiences may vary. Unfortunately, it is not applied on infill.
Although,… Using Arachne with Print infill first gives a curious picture in Studio. Not quite sure what to make of it…
No visible gaps, full area covered but seemingly constant widths (0.5mm wall and initial layer), “artifacts”,…
So,… It might just work this way.
That’s good news! That means this settings could be merged from Orca.
