The Bridge density setting has been a very useful feature in Orca Slicer for years, For some reason Bambu slicer has never caught up.
What this feature allows you to change is how dense the bridge is. The default is 100% dense but a lot of the time you don’t need the bridge to be at 100%, sometimes the plastic bunch up at 100% so it’s much cleaner to space the bridge lines so that they don’t interfere with each other.
This is how it’s implemented in Orca Slicer. I have also included a screen shot of the part bridging at 70% ( I have had 100% success rate with 70% bridging over 100% which can sometimes overlap with slight overextrusion and make small lumps)
Overall this is a very useful feature to include in Bambu Studio
I’d also like this to be added. There’s a video on YouTube with a lot of views detailing how to get some smooth bridges, and they’ve uploaded bridging calibrations and tests to Makerworld, but without altering density settings it’s not possible to replicate their results in Bambu Studio.
See video of development of this in Orca and how it helps to create almost perfect bridges.
NOTE: It is also necessary to allow upto 120% for this to work as described here.
Clearly a quality improvement for bridges
