All right, I am really missing something…
Using bambu studio, I now have a custom filament that I have calibrated using the H2D. I can select this custom filament from the filament list in the “Preview” window, and I can select this custom filament when I right-click on the object and click on “Change filament”, however, when I load this filament in the AMS, I cannot find it there, only the default filaments can be selected, not the custom ones. Same thing in the “Send print job screen”…my custom filament is not there.
What am I doing wrong?
I’m assuming on the H2D touchscreen, in the AMS menu, you have assigned the filament a vendor and type?
That is what I am saying; in the H2D screen, in the AMS filament menu, the custom filaments never show up so I can’t select them. However, they do appear in the Bambu studio, in the “Prepare” screen, when selecting the filament in the “custom” menu. Do you know what would be the process to make them appear there?
You can’t select customer filament profile on that menu. Just assign it to whatever generic filament you want, and apply the custom profile in the slicer.
Ok, so supose that on that screen, I select a generic PLA in my AMS2 and and generic PETG in my AMS HT.
Then on my pieces, I right click and select the user preset for the correct custom filament. One is Kingroon PETG and the other Kinroon PLA Basic.
Then when I get to the “slicing result” screen, the system is showing me a “Filament Grouping” that is showing a PLA and a PETG (which I assume that is info coming from the printer), but how does the system know which one of my custom presets goes with the PLA and which one with the PETG? Other than a mere coincidence in names, I cannot assign a slot to each of the filaments. How does it know that my PETG is in the AMS HT and my PLA is on the 1st slot of the AMS2Pro?
