I’ve had my AMS less than a month and have opened it at least 6 times. Each time, I cringe reconnecting those wires to the back. As small as they are, I am sure each time will be my last before I bend a pin.
Has anyone considered getting a backup set of cables and splicing a pair of Pogo Pin connectors in so the small ends remain connected and we disconnect the cables via the Pogo Pins?
I am new to Pogo Pins, so anyone with experience is welcome. I don’t intend to change the AMS lower box section, just find a simpler and less risky way to disconnect the cradle wires and reconnect them when ready to assemble.
This is not an update, as I have no new information. But it occurred to me that the may be universe is messing with me. I ordered and received a set of AMS cables (5) from Bambu. I don’t know yet if these are the ones that connect to the back of the internal tray inside the AMS. I think so, but not 100%.
My AMS is working very well and I don’t want to go inside, even to check these cables until I need to already be opening it. In my first week of having this printer and the AMS, I was inside the AMS taking it apart 3 times. In the following week, twice. The week after at least 3 maybe 4. But since no need to be inside. Someone told me about the Pogo Pins in another thread, so I think this might be useful. But it seems the universe is messing with me, by not giving me a problem with the AMS and not giving me cause to open it up, so I can confirm these calbe will match those inside.
