I can see on the GitHub that this build contains additional vendors in the filament profiles folder. I can see those when I open the package - the actual JSON files for the filament profiles are present within the app itself.
However, when I try to add new filament to my app, I can only select Bambu or Generic as vendor. Other manufacturers are simply not listed:
I’ve searched the forum, but I cannot see any recent posts regarding this - the latest post I found is from November last year, so not really applicable to my problem.
Anyone knows why is that? Is this expected behaviour? Is this a bug in the app? Or is this a random setting I modified and broke it?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated, this is doing my head in… I’m using filaments from Sunly nearly exclusively… I’d much rather find a way to load the profiles from the repository already in place, then to recreate them myself by hand
So i’ve checked by adding my old P1S back into Bambu Studio. More filaments are available for the P1S than for the H2 and P2. Wondering if they just aren’t certified or tested yet. If you switch back and forth the settings are available for the older printers, just not the newer ones.
New to 3D printing but have come across this issue of Sunlu missing as a System Filament and only being available by adding it as a Custom Filament. I have no idea what settings to choose if I were to add it as a Custom Filament, so I’d like to wait until they load a profile as a System Filament. I hope to get notification from a post here when that happens. Glad someone made a post about this. I also was having trouble figuring this out.
