Advice to AMS prohibition of adding filaments in the middle printing

When doing an automatic change of the same wire to continue printing, if I see that the existing wire is not enough, I cannot add new supplies to the AMS when I pause printing. In fact, in most cases, our AMS does not need to read the new filament automatically, but rather we can add filaments by setting them manually in the middle of printing. And this is possible in the intenal space of AMS. This way, we are able to really not have to strictly estimate the material margin and unseal an extra roll of filament.

Yeah this would be a nice to have. In fact, I’d like to do it, because I am already setting up for my next print.

Out of curiosity, if you have 2 AMSs and you’re only pulling from one, I am assuming the other AMS is also not able to change spools either?

HAHAHAHA, I need to have a try. But actually, in my design workflow, AMS works more as a filament storage box… If bamboo use slicing algorithm like cura 5.3 for two differenet filaments caught together, AMS may be used for more cases)))
