This is the soon to be released merch for Makerworld. It’s one thing to move more and more of the marketing material over to AI generated slop, but expecting people to buy merch that is clearly generated with AI is just gross. If people want it, more power to them, but selling it to represent a website that is supposed to be a community of creators/artists rubs me the wrong way.
If anyone has some evidence that it’s not AI generated I would love to be wrong, but to me it does not pass the smell test.
We have as much evidence that it is not AI generated as you have that it is.
Cartoon/drawing filters have been around since I was in high school 20 years ago. It would take a competent digital artist like 30 minutes to put that together from a couple of photos.
So maybe, instead of unintelligently flying off the handle and REEEing every time you see something that appears to be “traced” (or whatever other thing you are detecting) and assuming it’s AI you should realize this method of making images is old news, long before AI was ever available to us.
Now. It may be AI, but militantly anti-AI people are so insufferable that I go out of my way to use AI one more time every time I see it just out of spite.
