Don’t worry. The description text was almost definitely AI generated. It’s not likely that they honestly believe it was difficult.
As evidence for this is the screenshot of the comment on your model by @user_3161917381 that, fortunately, had their account disabled because it was easily proven that the entire purpose of the account was to artificially inflate the statistics for @Docsnyder78. With a quick Google search you can see that the only comments this user ever made were on Deltaprints’ models, particularly in response to anyone who was critical of them, as well as the nasty comments on your model. Additionally, this user only had one collection which was just a list of every single model Deltaprints has uploaded.
Even more evidence is how @Docsnyder78 didn’t even denounce that user’s appalling behavior made on his behalf. Instead they tried to make a poor attempt at making a dig at you.
It’s already been mentioned before, but they are also breaking the rules of the Community Guidelines that explicitly state twice that you cannot post affiliate or advertisement links:
Full list of our Community Guidelines
The following items are prohibited from MakerWorld.
1. Spam & deceptive practices such as:
- External links (tracking, promotional, other model platforms)
Other important rules
Following the platform rules is important, in order to ensure a correct environment for everyone. Failing to follow the rules can potentially lead to a temporary or permanent MakerWorld account ban.
7. Do not post advertising information or links on your account name, description, pictures, etc. Affiliate links or other promotional materials included in your bio are not allowed.
Yet, this Amazon Affiliate link is found in the description of every single model they have:
That link forwards to a URL containing an affiliate code, which is clearly their’s and not just a generic amazon shortened link: tag=deltaprints-21
. To prove this further, on this Amazon Affiliate help page it says:
Can I Check If My Links Are Tagging to My Account?
[…] Most often, it will appear as “&tag=(store/tracking ID)” within the URL. […]
@MakerWorld needs to step in and do something about @Docsnyder78 instead of letting them get away with this.
