Air Printing(?) Act 2

I read another post on here about this issue (I think it’s the same thing) but a solution was found and post closed. So apologies if this is repetitive.

A few days ago during a print, my printer kept printing but didn’t finish out the print. It was mostly done, then no more filament coming out but the printer is acting like it is printing. I thought maybe I needed to oil x,y and z axis so I did. I tried a short print and this time it started the print process, still no filament coming out and then stopped less than a minute in.

I did heat up the printhead and used Handy to push filament through and it comes out fine like that. So I tried the short print again and same thing.

I’m confused how filament could be coming out when using the app or even by hitting load on screen of printer but will not print.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Sounds like a partial clog. Have a look at the wiki links @johnfcooley provided in your original thread and run through them.Filament stuck -searched all wiki and videos - #7 by johnfcooley

Thank you, I will do that now.

Did that process, then went ahead and change out filaments. I put a new spool of Sunlu PLA on. It loaded correctly, etc. But once I tried to do a print, still the same thing. Am I allowed to upload a video of it I took from my phone?

sure. you’re a basic user level.

That’s a good idea! And maybe a screenshot of the preview tab of the project.

I cannot figure out how to trim my video so it isn’t too big to upload… still trying though.

Upload it elsewhere and just post the link.

Hopefully, this link will download to show what it does. Forgive my poor quality of video expertise. I was trying to get better angle.

Looks normal pre-print preparations to me. It doesn’t look like it even got to bed-leveling when the video cuts out.

It stops itself not long after that but it does not extrude any filament.

The video does not appear to show the actual issue.
What you described initially sounds like a partial clog but a simular symptom has also been reported for loose screws in the A1 toolhead here: A1 Mini: Extrusion issue, it appears to be a clog but..no - #8 by Shades

Does it give a message when it stops?

It did not give a message. My apologies for the late response. I began the process of taking off cover plate, hotend and was moving further in the process. Got nervous, had my son come over and just put it back for me so I didn’t ‘mess’ anything up and it actually started printing again. Did fine up until a couple of days ago and now same issue. I’m about to replace the hotend with a new one and I will assuredly check for loose screws. I am saving the link you provided and certainly appreciate it.
