Air printing with AMS installed, easy fix

Hi Folks,

I’ve had a couple of instances where the A1-MINI with an AMS installed prints in air, rendering the print a fail. The filament tangle option was enabled, but since the filament didn’t pull down the AMS filament hub feeder this detection mechanism was not triggered as described in the following wiki:

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/ams-lite/manual/filament-tangle-monitoring-intro

What must have happened is the filament extruder gears must have slipped in the extruder, grinding the filament and then stopped pushing out the filament.

However if an AMS is installed, in this condition the wheels would have stopped turning in the AMS, with the extruder is still spinning, and filament runout not triggered. This condition is a trigger for air printing, so this should be detectable.

Would be nice to get this feature into the printer firmware.

Thanks,

Tony
