Can someone tell me what the advantages of this is ? Is this so you can place an object in front of the Auxiliary fan ?

If you don’t want it aligned on the X axis? JFC 
According to a thread on stackexchange which I cannot link because of forum rules:
Aligning to Y axis can make prints more precise as you avoid moving the bed as much as possible. The bed is heavier and has more inertia in comparion to the print head. As you move the bed you also move your entire model which can become a problem if your model is high and starts to wiggle.
