After updating to the latest firmware 01.04 on my H2D I’ve started noticing errors at the start of the print that the sheet is misaligned. But only for 3rd party plates. For example my BIQU Cryogrip. If I use a Bambu plate I don’t see this error. I can bypass it and continue but I’m wondering if it’s a coincidence, i.e. my camera lens in fogged or is it something more nefarious like Bambu being ■■■■■ now with 3rd party build plates. I suspect the former but the cynic in me wouldn’t be surprised if it is the later.

Since the new printers use AI to identify hardware - and that AI is trained exclusively on original Bambu components - the recognition of non‑Bambu hardware gets worse with every new update. The AI is getting better and better at recognizing exclusively Bambu parts.
Still, giving the camera a good cleaning certainly doesn’t hurt.
FWIW, I see this warning sometimes on my H2C, a few times even with BL plates (I’m not sure how closely the firmwares are synced). I also have a Glacier and DarkMoon Duo, but most of the time those don’t report warnings. I was just dismissing them as the printer being silly, but just recently after placing a plate I noticed that it was very slightly misaligned… the left rear tab wasn’t quite seated all the way in, causing a tiny bit of misalignment along the white stripe sensor area at front right. I hadn’t started a print and I don’t know if this would have raised the warning, but it made me wonder. I also noticed that the thin Glacier plate was much easier place this way… those bed magnets are pretty strong and the thinner plate “sucks down” quicker or whatnot (need a steeper approach angle… 
).
Anyway, I’m going to pay more attention to that from now on, especially if I get the alignment warning again. Perhaps the detection sensitivity got tweaked in firmware… didn’t get any with earlier versions (initial release), but maybe I was just less casual about plate placement. As far as I can tell the detection just checks that it can see so much of the white stripe area.
Cleaning the camera lenses is always a good idea also of course, esp. the 2 on the head… I try to remember to give them a wipe every few prints, before the printer chides me about it.

It wouldn’t surprise me if BL is intentionally trying to degrade QoL with 3rd party components. I guess that’s one advantage of my other printer. It’s stupid enough that I can attach a blank fiberglass-epoxy laminate to the print bed and the printer merrily goes on it’s way not caring as long as the load-cell finds a solid surface.
