P1S printer, 1300 hours, ams series one new when the P1s was purchased.
All of the LEDS are blinking red on the AMS. Can not load filament,
When first turned on, all LEDS are white for about 30 seconds, then all 4 start blinking red.
AMS does NOT show up in studio, have checked all cables and they are secure and pass continuity pin for pin.

Also, at the same time that this failure occurred, the 5 volt supply on the board on the front of the P1S printer is no longer producing 5Volts at the USB port. (I think this is the AP board, it’s where the wifi antenna is)
What happened to cause all of this chaos? the front cover came off
of the print head during a print, snagged the USB cable that my Panda device was plugged into. The Panda device is OK, so I’m thinking the AP board somehow got shorted, but I don’t know how that could affect the AMS, as it is 24 volt, and the leds do blink on and off, so power must be OK there. Where does the 5 volt supply originate? In the rear of the printer?
I have ordered a new AP board from BamBu, but not sure that will correct the AMS issue…

You might have blown a component or fuse supplying the 5V to the RS-485 transceivers on the P1S side, sorry I don’t off the top of my head know where that is. There are also faults inside the AMS that can break the data path while allowing the power, but I don’t think that happened in your case. The AP board replacement sounds like a good start.
So, there is some interaction between the AP and AMS? Who woulda thunk… Would love to see a schematic of the entire P1S, but that will probably never happen.
AP board ordered in the mean time.
This particular printer has a habit of blowing the front cover off, not the first time this has happened!

Received the New AP board from Bambu, started reading up on how to replace in the wiki. Wiki states that the new AP board has a different S/N then the old, I confirmed that. Why do I have to contact Bambu to activate the new s/n. Is this the S/N for the entire printer, not just the AP board?
I know this is an older topic but I have been trying to figure out what happened to my AMS. I just purchased a P1S less than a month ago and have been using it trouble free just about everyday. I had a print going for about 15 hours and about 3 hours before finishing, it said my nozzle was clogged. Ok no big deal, I looked up how to clear the nozzle, did not work. So I changed the nozzle out. Then the printer did not want to respond anymore. After making sure everything on the printer head was plugged in correctly and power cycles, I got it to respond, but then I got an error with my AMS with all four lights flashing. Took it completely apart made sure everything was plugged in and nothing was clogged from the spools all the way to the printer nozzle. Everything is looking good. Still have the flashing lights. I even bought a new cable thinking maybe there is a connection issue. I have tried everything I could that I have found online that could be the issue. Any other suggestions. I have contacted support but has been 3 days and no response.
When that happened to me, I found one of the two cables INSIDE back of the AMS was unplugged. They sometimes become unplugged when you place the AMS unit back into it’s case.
They are tricky, and will come unplugged very easily.
Ive made sure theyre plugged in and even bought a new cable. Its starting the feed but just not connecting to the printer. And bambus support is slower than father time!
Oh my GODDDDD!!! I’m such an idiot. I didnt even realize there was not only the 6 pin cable, but also the 4 pin cable. I disconnected the 4 pin on both sides and waa-laa! CONNECTED NOW! Thank you for having me triple and quadruple check these. I feel like such a goober. But at the same time, everything was plugged in.
