Always grinding noise from Chamber Heat Circulation Fan area ? H2D+fw_1.03

This is true at idle and during prints.

I’m not testing any of the beta 1.03.■■
it’s 1.03.00.00
Just updated from the last stable (I think?) 1.02

I did this via thumb drive on LAN mode.

Did calibration process twice.

I think I am referring to the correct fan… it’s the one beneath the exhaust fan with Louvres (flaps) correct?

It also is definitely on slightly. Is it supposed to be on 24/7?

I did mess with the exhaust/filter post print new feature, but ended up turning it off before printing anything. I’ve done a couple prints at least now. I’ve turned machine off and one, multiple times, leaving it for over a minute.
Noise starts immediately as soon as machine is flipped on… immediately .

Thanks guys. any ideas would be great, but this is also just a report.

In your Air Management menu, you can turn each fan on and off when the printer is sitting idle. Do this and try each one to see if the sound happens.

Hi @CarbonForge ! Yes, that was what I did in the end to narrow it down… no other fans change it, but it seems to go away with the cf b/c it’s ramping up, and we can’t really control the speed unfortunately, so with it at high I cannot hear that specific sound, but ofc fan sounds change with speed…

Do you know, is it supposed to run 24/7?

Is the grille on the back of the machine intake or exhaust for the chamber fan, do you know?
