I just saw the Lithophane generator in MakerLab. I printed one out and I like it. Now I am wondering if I am allowed to use the generator for commercial purposes. I would buy filament from BambuLab, the LED panels too and then I would sell them. The customer could send me his photo and I would send him a 3D-printed Lithophane back.
Is this forbidden by any regulations from BambuLab or MakerLab?
Is anyone informed about this?
To me it seems that the Lithophane generator is just as much a tool as the 3D printer itself. And I don’t think that Bambu Lab has any issues with you selling 3D prints.
Plus I don’t think they can even have any say over any image they didn’t make. It is just an image converted to a different file type so to speak. So no, I don’t think they can do anything about it
As of last time I checked you can use the output of all makerworld tools for commercial purposes.
Okay, thank you for your responses.
Do you know who the designer of the Lithophane design is? Because maybe the model is licensed…
maybe, the top priority is to find buyers
I’m sure you can but for any reason you can’t here’s a fantastic site (can’t post the actual link but you’ll figure it out) : ItsLitho(dotcom)
It’s the easiest and best Litho creator I’ve seen.
