Am I the only one having trouble lining up the build plate correctly?

P1S - Every time I try to insert the build plate I get it crooked and have to try several times to get it straight. Is there some trick to get it inserted correctl?

  1. Keep the front of the plate high and the rear low until both rear corners are in contact with the guides.

  2. Practice.

And you have to watch out that the build plate doesn’t ride up over those little guides at the back.

I hold the plate at an angle so only the rear edge is in contact with the Z platform and slide it in until it’s against those little guides at the back, then let the magnet pull it down as I slowly lower the front edge.

Almost 600 hours on mine and I still have to be careful. Every now and then, it’s on one of the side to side guides and I have to try again.

There are 2tabs at the back of the bed make sure the plate is against both tabs then set the plate down it should be good to go.

Thanks @danmcm. What I figured out that works best for me is I line up the left side of the plate with the left side of the bed and slide the plate in at about a 30 degree angle. When it hits the tabs it centers perfectly almost every time.

Ok good glad you got it worked out.

Yes, I do approximately the same. Still, it seems there is a lot of room side-to-side, there is about 1/8 inch of slop between touching the left side guide versus touching the right side guide. I guess it doesn’t matter where it falls within that range as long as it isn’t riding up over one of the guides (?). Still, I try to get it in the same position every time. Maybe I’m wasting my time being too picky about that.

I do the same thing, it just bugs me if it isn’t lined up exactly. I think my OCD is showing a bit…
