I’m having the same issue with a new Bambu Lab X2D printer and AMS. It won’t push the filament through, and after troubleshooting I realized the problem is with the feeder funnel. As soon as I slightly moved it, the filament went through. Exactly the same as you described on your side.
I’m currently waiting for a solution and response from Bambu Lab, since I don’t want to deal with fixing something I didn’t cause.
Update: without doing anything, I’ve managed to print 2 other files with no feeding issues. Not sure if this was just an initial break-in cycle I had to overcome or not, but I’ll take it. Maybe the wheels were off a bit and the extra force from the first print magically aligned them, if that’s even possible.
I am having the same issue. It occurred first in slot 1 of a brand new AMS 2. I have tried multiple things, including changing PTFE and taking apart the hub to clean it out. Nothing has fixed it. Now my older AMS 2 is doing the same thing. Only slot 1 intermittently unable to feed right at the hub.
okay so im kind of having the same issue. i just had micro center completely replace my p2s combo with ams pro 2. i have literally had it for 3 days and the ams wont send the filament to the toolhead. i have done a cold pull, i have disconnected all tubes and even took my ams apart after seeing a video of something stuck in the rear gear. I HAVE FOUND ZERO PROBLEMS. i have restarted my printer and recalibrated it. i truly am at a loss and dont know what else to do. can someone help please! anything else i can do? i really dont want to have to take the dang thing back AGAIN. please helppppp!
What colour are the lights on the AMS? If you load Bambu filament into it, does the printer recognize it? If it does, click the “load” button and what happens?
Do understand that you don’t have to “load” filament before starting a print. The sliced gcode you send to the printer will do this all for you.

AMS picks up the loose end, reels it in about 10cm, stops, the filament tip never leaves the rear end of the AMS?
AMS picks up the loose end, reels it in 10cm, it exits the back of the hub, starts going faster, into the buffer, out of the buffer, into the final approach to the toolhead, but stops before it reaches the toolhead?
