Hey guys, long time listener, first time caller (lol)…like the title says. I power up the unit everything flashes and I try to load slot 4 and the motor will not grab the filament. When it first happened I got the usual “Filament jam, most likely busted filament in tube” So I dissassembled the whole thing and verified nothing in tubes. I can manually feed the filament all the way to the nozzle so I know the path is clear.
I have a second AMS 2 Pro that I am using now so I know it has to be in the original AMS 2 Pro. So I am inclined to believe it is in the feeder motor.
i have the same problem with 3 of my ams pro2. some port dont feed any more. i did order the front motor kit and the feeder part. one so i can take one out and take it apart to review the inside.
OK so the sent over a TPS and that was not it. Now they want me to cross validate the feeder unit so I did that this morning. Waiting for a print to finish so I can plug the unit in and see what’s going on.
I guess the good thing is that I am getting really good at taking the AMS apart…lol…
Well after replaceing every single part, including the motherboard, the unit still will not feed and just keeps flashing the same problem. It started July 8th so I finally quit talking to the AI service desk and escalated the claim. They understood and sent a return label. I sent the unit back and they sent me a brand new one for replacement. And I still would like to know what the heck happened to the unit but I guess it’s better not to ask.
AI was very nice but after they started to make me do the same thing all over again? I knew it was AI and not going anywhere.
