AMS 2 Pro - Issues with loading filament into Extruder

Same issues here, odometer stopped working after a month.
To their credit, Bambu acted quickly to my support ticket and are sending out a new filament hub part. Hopefully I will have a working AMS pro again soon.

1.How easy is it to strip out and fit the new one?
2. Will they be adding this part to the website, if its a common fault?

Yep, its a design flaw / quality issue with the sensor. At least if we all ask for a new AMS each time it mounts the pressure on for them to fix the problem for good.

  1. Pretty easy, just follow the online guide and take your time, I did mine in about 20 mins.
  2. I could have sworn it was already in the spare parts section under AMS2 but I can’t see it there now, maybe they removed it. Hmmmm.

It was indeed already a spare part. But now it is remove. But was not planning to buy a new hub every month. Was about 75euro or something.

I got my complete AMS replacement and so far so good. If it goes tits up again I think I’ll return the AMS and sell the printer and go look at a different brand…

Updating from my previous post.

My replacement AMS seems to be working for a couple of weeks now even after running the filament dryer feature for ABS as well. No issues at all with the new one

Replacing the whole unit seems to just be the best bet I would recommend pushing for that with support.

Hopefully I won’t be back to this thread and good luck to all of you.
