Does anybody know how many liters of air a standart ams holds inside approx.?
I will be getting an electric micro-dehumidifier and mount it on the side of the ams but idk which one to get (https://www.micro-dehumidifier.com/products/membranes/). Planning on getting either 2 RS1 (2 x 0.21g/day removed moisture) units or a single M1J1R ( 1g/day)
I’m still waiting for my P1S with AMS to be delivered, so cannot measure it. From the pictures and dimensions shown on the product pages I did estimate the air volume to 18l (minus whatever is inside the AMS). Hence a M-1J1R would be a properly sized membrane and preferable over two RS1 (also less expensive than two RS1). I guess the major issue with the M-1J1R (or any M-series membranes) is their height being about 16.5mm (plus flat connectors if used) and that might conflict with the outer spools of the AMS. I recently came up with a mounting cover for the M-1J1R which can be fully mounted outside of the enclosure with still being properly sealed to the inside. I actually made this with the AMS in mind and will put this on Printables when I did some testing. I got decent results with the M-1J1R on a 20l storage box and would hence consider it well suited for the AMS as well.
