I kind of know what AMS Blacklist Check is but if someone can explain in more detail what exactly it does that would be great.

He literally did what we all did with our older printers…
Adjusting the wheel pressure so the filament will rather slip than grind - or go wherever…
In my extruder the screw for the tension is about 5mm out as I don’t like chewing up filament when things go wrong.
