Is this a common issue or is it more of an attribute? The ptfe tube behind my AMS wears out to the point that it feeds the filament through the ptfe tube wall.
I have about 1200 hours in the P2S+AMS combo and this is the third time I’ve had to replace the ptfe tube.
All depends on what filament you are printing with and also the sharpness of the bend on the tube.
That bend looks sharp to me.
90% of my filaments are Bambu Lab PLA and PETG, occasionally ABS. No CF or GF filaments habe been used.
Tried to change a slightly longer ptfe tube to see if the angle of the first turn makes a difference. Although, the original tube wore out just the same.
If you are saying that a longer tube doesn’t change anything then I think you are having bad luck with your tubes. I have not changes the tubes external to the AMS yet and I’ve had my printers for years.
Maybe try a different tube manufacturer. See if someone sells tougher tubes.
Yea, those were my initial thoughts also. And the tube is quite inexpensive so that’s not a problem. I just thought I’d check the communtity first.
