AMS feature does not work as intended

I have run into a problem, and I am curious if anyone else has had the same kind of issue.

Part of my decision on purchasing my X1C with an AMS is that I wanted to do some print jobs that require more than one roll of filament. Supposedly this is supposed to be a feature with the AMS where it will deplete a roll and move on to another roll if it is loaded, provided it is of the same type and color.

I bought quite a few rolls of BL PETG-CF and loaded 3 into my AMS. Sent a print job that required more than one roll to the printer.

Someone not too bright at Bambu Lab has decided that they will tape the beginning of the filament to the cardboard part of the roll. Being taped like this, it does not release and the AMS tried and tried many times to finish the first roll, but it could not. It resulted in a jam within the AMS, and a very long print job failing, and $35 US dollars down the drain do to this crud.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good PETG-CF, as I will NOT be purchasing this from Bambu again?

Yeah, one or two…

I don’t really have any experience with PETG-CF so I don’t have an alternative recommendation… but it’s happened to a LOT of people.
