I upgraded the firmware on two AMS units and the very next print is having issues with the filament retraction on the spool can’t keep up with the amount of filament being pushed out and gets wrapped up on the next spool. I have to manually wind up the filament on the spool.

Hi all. I have continued to not enjoy AMS firmware 00.01.06.62. It has the following problems:

  1. Sometimes when I put in a new filament roll where the AMS usually sucks in the line and reels it back, instead the AMS will pull it in a little and then just go back and forth with the reel indefinitely. To overcome it, I end up having to yank out the roll and reinstall it.

  2. It seems like when I put new filaments in, it is not updating inside of Bambu studio and I have to resync.

Not sure if I’m the only one with continued issues. I would be much happier to roll back the firmware.

I too am having major issues with this. I cannot update the colors as it tells me “retrieving printer information, please try again later”. Its infuriating. Bambu fix it quick!!

Same issue here. P1S with AMS

P1S fw: 01.08.02.00
AMS fw: 00.01.06.62

I can’t update filament information for non Bambu filament and none of my custom calibrated flow dynamics profiles are available in any of the filament settings, Bembu or 3rd party.
