AMS gears and rollers locking up

I see many approaches that work for different people, but I still have not found a 100% roller freeze fix… Weights certainly help. I had one design where a roller inside the spool prevented the spool from coming up. No springs, just a rigid mounted roller preventing the spool from loosing contact with the two AMS rollers. This appoach proved very bad, as the driven roller would lock up very often. Seem like there needs to be a way to allow slipage between the driven roller and the spool…
