I’ve been trying to use my AMS HT as an external heater when using in conjunction with a multitude of nylon CF/GF filaments, but I’m having an issue where the filament drags the PTFE tube into the AMS and causes it to bind and snap the filament.
I was potentially thinking of designing a PTFE joint that mounts to the external filament hole and keeps the PTFE tube in place.
Has anyone else had similar issues?
I installed a connector on my PTFE mainly to make sure that I never push it too far inside. You can even remove the plastic collet so it can’t even release when pushing on it but it’s OK as is and easier to remove when needed.
I’m going to give this a whirl next time I run it externally. Is it just a disassembled PTFE connector?
Yes you can buy a 2-way connector from Bambu and take one out for this or you can just buy some Ecas04 connectors on amazon.
