AMS HT with P1S and AMS

Have a P1S with AMS and all are working well.
Just received my AMS HT and don’t know how to work it.

As usual, the Bambu documentation only addresses how it works with the H2D menu, and does not describe AT ALL how the AMS HT is supposed to work with a P1S.

The AMS HT cable is plugged into the AMS. The P1S knows the AMS HT is there. Bambu Handy knows the AMS HT is there. Bambu Studio knows the AMS HT is there. But none of them have any options for doing anything with the AMS HT. They show the humidity and temperature within the AMS HT and that is it.

How do I dry some filament???

I have the X1C, but as far as I know, the P1 series also only works directly on the printer. Otherwise look for instructions for the AMS2 with the P1S, it will probably be in the same place in the menu.

You need the latest firmware to use it

I have a P1S and an AMS and now an AMS HT. When printing with an AMS HT, the filament feed light does not blink like it does on an AMS. Does anyone else have similar functionality? I wonder if there will be an update for this, it would be much more clear what filament is being printed.

Hi,I’m planning to order the AMS HT like you, for my P1S with the old AMS,
but it’s not clear to me if I also need the AMS Hub, or if it’s possible
to use only the 4-to-1 PTFE adapter.
Can you help me?

If you’re using something with an “Automatic” in the name, you’ll need something with a buffer. A Hub ist just a Buffer with 4 Inputs. So you could use your Buffer (what you should have, when you are using an AMS1) and put a splitter in front of it. If its the Bambu 4-to-1 Adapter or a printed Y-Splitter doesnt matter.

Or you buy the Hub.

(I cannot recommend the Bambu adapter. It’s cheap stuff that doesn’t do its only job.)
