AMS Issues

I have been having issues with the AMS unit on my BambuLab X1C.
The filament breaks deep inside and I have to remove it by disassembling the AMS unit, flipping the unit upside doen while I remove the broken filament stuck in the tube before the 4 way adapter. When the spool retracts, the filament stuck inside registers an error. Now this has happened on another spool.

Recently, I have added Slice Labs dessicant spools which fit into the open space. I just relaized there may be too much drag on the spool as it moves back and forth. I may remove the spools as I have the dessicant chambers in the chambers between and humidity is 16% with the reader I added in the one chamber in the front center.
I want these 3D prints to be plug and play.
Thanks in advance dfor the help!

When that has happened to me, it was because my filament was too moist, and as a result, brittle. I dehydrate the filament, and everything usually goes back to normal. Only once did one of my filaments remain brittle after dehydration. I ended up tossing that spool into the trash.

Exactly. When this happened to me, it was due to moist filament. I dried it and the problem stopped.

Just in case you are not aware of this, desiccant is great for keeping humidity low, thus preventing your filament from absorbing moisture, but it will not remove much moisture from filament. You need a dehydrator for that.
