AMS Lite Compatible PLA Filament

Hi everyone.

I got my Bambulab A1 with AMS Lite a few weeks ago and so far i am really happy with it.
For now i use PLA filament from “DASFILAMENT” and i really like it, but it’s quite expensive as the original Bambulab filament is.

As i am looking to add some additional colors, I am searching for great but cheap(er) PLA filament, that I can order from sites like Amazon or 3dJake.

Colors i want:
White
Black matte
Red
Green (more like lime or neon green)
Gold
Yellow
Grey
Some fancy multicolor options would be nice as well

Anyone has some recommendations for cheap good quality PLA filament?

Thank you!

For PLA my go to affordable filament is Elegoo. I use the PLA+, PLA Pro and Rapid PLA+ most of the time. It’s usually way cheaper on their own website compared to Amazon. I used to buy a lot of Kingroon but I think the Elegoo is slightly better and not that much more expensive.

Thank you @PrinterMcgee
I already stumbled over Elegoo and was not completely sure about the AMS Lite compatibility, cause the spool looked like it’s from cardboard.
Is it a different material?

Cardboard spools work perfectly on the AMS lite, the are fit in the spool adapter ps perfectly.

I like Elegoo and eSun, both quality filaments and inexpensive. Yousu is another reasonable cost filament that always works.

Trust me I have a few.

Those are some of my swatches (my design).

I buy all my non-Bambu Lab filaments from Amazon, I have the opposite experience to @PrinterMcgee it is cheaper, at least in the U.K. not sure what it will be like in Europe.

They are actually in the process of swapping to plastic spools. They are slowly updating the product photos to show the plastic ones. If you order right now you might receive either but as Malc said the cardboard ones work great with the AMS lite.

Sunlu has a good sale on their PLA filament, 11.99. haven’t used any, maybe others have?

I think they’re blowing it out because I noticed a V2 PLA on their site.

Sunlu filaments tend to have a plastic spool, not an issue, but, the central hole is usually much larger than the common size. This may mean you need to printer spool adapters that slot into the spool hole to reduce the size to something closer to the required diameter.

Thank you guys!
Then i might try Elegoo or eSun, sounds like they should be a good choice!
Also prime days are soon, maybe they have some filaments from the two with a good

I read somewhere in this forum that Cardboard spools are problematic, but maybe this was for the normal AMS.

You’re welcome, we’re happy to help. Yeah, Bambu recommends against using cardboard spools in the regular AMS but I’ve never had problems using them with that one either.

I’ve got a couple EleGoo spools that have not been a problem at all. Has anyone tried Chitu?
