AMS Lite placement

Is there any significant reason the AMS installation instructions specifically say to put it on the right (or on top) of the A1? In my situation, It will be MUCH more convenient to have it on the left. All I can see the need for is swapping the short/long ptfe tubes

If the cord reaches the back of the printer to be plugged in, go for it.
On the A1 Mini the plug is on the right, not the back right corner like the A1.

OK, that makes sense, did not know the A1 Mini had different plug location. And while the A1 currently does not have a use for both plugs, both do apparently work. I plugged into the one closer to the left and the AMS Lite powered up. I’ll just need to be sure the cord stays against the back wall so it doesn’t hit the bed at the full back position.

Im currently printing a mount for the AMS lite as I don’t have that much room… maybe this is an option for you? its on makerworld called ( The Ultimate Modular AMS Lite Mounting System)…

That is the one I am using. I installed it a couple days ago.
It’s working quite well.

I tried having the AMS on the lft of my A1 because it just looked better with my set up. However; i started to have numerous filament jams and the cord was to short and put more stress on it then i felt comfortable with. I ended up moving it back.

Hi, moi qui n’avais pas trop de place, je l’ai placé au dessus dès le début et je n’y voit que des avantages

Cable included (like mine) is too short to go on left, its like 12 inches or so, you can purchase an extension in the store
