AMS Not Recognizing new PETG HF

I have seen this issues before in the threads but those threads didnt help solve the issues.

When I load PETG-HF into my AMS it flashes the correct profile then goes back to a white ?. Even manually editing it stays for about 5 seconds then goes back.

I have shut down all instances of Bambu Studio. I have made sure the profile has been checked in Bambu Studio.
My firmware: X1C is 1.08.02.00. AMS Hub is .43 my AMSs are 6.44

Not sure what else to try ?

I have not experienced this and have used many different colours of PETG-HF.

I do occasionally experience a failure for it to detect a spool, this is not restricted to one type of filament.

Remove and resit usually resolves it straight away.

That is an excellent reference to U.K. TV at it’s sarcastic best.

Tried that, many times. Thanks anyways

Yeah, this was the exact behavior I experienced with an instance running in a docker container that I had forgotten about. I found that it WOULD work in LAN only mode before I figured out I had a forgotten instance. You might give that a shot, just from a troubleshooting standpoint.

Yes I did consider than and shut it down. However just realize I was also running an Orca instance, so I will try to shut that down to see if it works.

If all else fails, what I would do personally is carefully open the spool so that it won’t become a tangled mess and remove the QR code, maybe it’s defective and causing an issue, then you just assign manually

Yep that was it, I had an instance of Orca running in Docker on Synology NAS open. Once I killed that job everything works.

now I’m curious, why do you run orca from the NAS? Asking because I have one myself but not understanding the use case

I run Orca and Bambu from NAS (I also run Studio on a laptop) so it can be accessed on any of my devices. Either to check the status of something or do a new print. Also my daughter is in school for engineering so it is just easier for her to go to a web page and import a model than to load up Studio.

Cool thanks, even though I don’t really need it, I might set a container up just to play with it
