I have a P1P with the AMS attached. Frequently, when I try to send a job to the printer the AMS is not shown on the slicer. When I check the printer for this issue, sometimes the screen shows the AMS is attached and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes the AMS will have red lights flashing on all the spools and sometimes not. If I power cycle the printer and AMS everything is fine until (usually) the next print job, but not always.
Is it just defective?
I for one would check wirings in this case, and if you’re absolutely sure all plugs are inserted properly and the problem persists, yes, contact support.
I also have the problem with my P1P the printer shows the AMS then shows there is no filament loaded then show the AMS is not connected. however then slowly the AMS is shown with one filament being displayed then the next until the entire AMS is populated on my screen with all of the filament loaded. The print then starts and goes through all of the color changes. Once the last line has been printed regardless of what slot is being used the filament will not retract and appears to bind in the attached AMS feeder, not sure why and what causes this.
