AMS slot 4 not retracting bambu filament correctly?

My slot 4 on the AMS kept having a failure to retract filement, with a bambu filament? Do I need to fix something? Have parts on hand? It would retract it out of the ptfe tube but not wind it up? Would be able to reset after winding and reloading it, then unplugging AMS and plugging it back in.

This happened to me especially with CF filaments, the fix was to print one of the PTFE tube guides that get stuck on top of the extruder to curve the tube nicely against the glass top. When you get the error, often the only thing that is needed is to briefly disconnect the PTFE fitting in the back of the printer and move the filament inside the tube by a couple of cm and then push everything back together (and then hit the retry button).

Thanks, it wasn’t broken or even that far in? It’s like it’s having trouble rolling the spool to retract it? And it was using their white PLA.

PLA, hmmmm. A lot of things could be wrong, incl clogged/stuck filament in the extruder, etc. The BBL wiki has a bunch of troubleshooting steps. What it’s missing is the really simple stuff. E.g., when the printer stops and shows the error just pull the PTFE fitting in the back gently apart so you can grab the filament and see whether you can pull a couple of cm out of the printer. If it’s stuck hard in the printer then you got a problem in there and need to follow the wiki troubleshooting steps. If not, hit retry and as the filament is being retracted gently push the PTFE back into the fitting.

I have notice that there are different spots you can put your spool, I have had issues with a couple spools not winding and all I had to do is move the spool a little. With the ams open look in the front where the spool goes and you should see what I am talking about. I hope this helps with your issue.
