AMS stops feeding filament during print

After working flawlessly for months my AMS have started acting up. I was running a 10 hour print with the remaining 10% of a spool and then with auto renew (or what it is called) setup to switch to a new spool.

The print goes flawlessly until the first spool runs out, the AMS loads the new spool and continues printing (I witnessed this). But then after a while when I check on the print again the toolhead is a good 10 layers above the print with nothing coming out of the nozzle. I open up the AMS and nothing seems to be stuck. And I also do not see the AMS pulling more filament which I normally can see every ~10 seconds.

I have opened up the AMS to see if the is any filament stuck in any of the tubes and nothing was stuck. I tried changing AMS slot for the next print but I get the same issue after a few layers.

I’m using Elegoo spools in the AMS. And my first thought was that the spool was “slipping” but when I opened the AMS the wheels never turned so I don’t feel like that was the issue after all.

Have anyone encountered something similar? I don’t really know what to look for or what to search for (here or in the troubleshooting guide).

Thanks in advance

I am having the same problem with my AMS feeder. This is happening on my P1S with an AMS and three times the print has stopped after printing a few mm of the part. I recently installed a new complete hot end but the first prints after that installation were good. If anyone has a solution please let me know.

It turned out that my problem was the fan on the nozzle was not working because I had not plugged the the connection properly. I also checked the filament setting and it was at 0.16mm for the Woodfill and I changed it to 0.2mm. Things seem to be working well now.
