Recently, when a print job is completed, I get an error message that the machine can’t retract the filament. Upon closer inspection, it absolutely retracted the one filament that was in the process (AMS 1, Slot 3) but it keeps trying to retract AMS 2, Slot 4 which wasn’t even part of the project. Anyone else ever see this or have a fix? The job finished but it is frustrating.
My guess is that there is either a filament piece stuck in slot 4 or the sensor is stuck/failed.
Ahh.. now that’s a good point. I hadn’t thought that part of the firmware process was to retract all filaments from all AMS units at the end of a job. That would, in fact, point to one of the two issues you identified. And you were correct! A short piece of PETG was jammed up in that slot’s feed tube. Quick fix. Thanks!
