I have an AMS on order for my P1S. Have been reading about the AMS to prepare for it’s arrival. After the AMS is physically connected, i am wondering about loading and configuring the filaments. Everything i have seen shows the bigger screen of the X1 rather than the smaller screen of the P1.
How do configure the filaments on a P1?
Must it be done in Bambu Studio?
Hopefully much more knowledgable people than I on here will respond. I configure for filaments in the slicer. Bambu Studio and Orca both work pretty much the same. And there are a lot of pre-configured there. I don’t use Handy so can’t speak for it. A lot (some? few?) of the filament makers have configs/json files for their filaments for Bambu printers. There are threads/articles on here and the Bambu wiki that cover where you need to pace those files (I am in a windows environment). I like the AMS on my P1s. One thing I do that probably most don’t (my printer doesn’t run that much) is after I am done with printing I use the UNLOAD process from the touch screen and back the filament all the way out to the spool and then turn the printer off. I found the hard way that if I just try to manually roll the filament back it usually leaves a piece in the hot end that may cause problems at some point.
