Updated my A1 mini, a few things I notice.

  1. My AMS HT won’t dry filament unless I unload the filament. My AMS HT on the H2D will dry with loaded filament unless I want it to rotate the spool then I have to unload, duh…
  2. AMS HT doesn’t automatically populate drying info based on the spool it had loaded, probably because once I remove the filament it doesn’t know if the same filament is still in the AMS.

I just noticed that A1 firmware version 01.07.00 is available on my machine. Has anyone else updated? Beyond what we expected, anything interesting or problematic?

Used it all day yesterday; no problems so far.
10days update: Still working fine.

I just got my AMS HT and have the same experience on my A1 mini.

  1. Max drying temperature I can set manually, so it don’t ask me to unload the filament is 55 degree celsius

  2. Even when the filament is not unloaded and it is fx PETG, the drying info is always PLA 45 degree celsius when I enter the drying dialog.

Does anybody know how low the temperature has to be before I can start printing from the HT after it has dried the filament ?

I only get an error on the display, that says I have to wait.

Seems like the issue has been fixed, pretty sure there was a new firmware pushed to my AMS’s

nevermind, issue still there. I can leave filament in if it’s set to PLA. PETG it asks to remove the filament.

In this YouTube video at 9:00, he has an explanation to why it can’t dry when a filament is loaded. Properly the reason it has a max temp at 55 degrees when loaded.

Good evening, I’ve encountered an issue. I connected the AMS 2 Pro to my A1. If I start a print using the AMS, it works normally. However, if I select the external spool, the printer “goes crazy” and keeps running the load/unload filament cycle endlessly, as if it can’t detect the filament. Before connecting the AMS for the first time, it was working

Is it a software problem or something else? I performed a factory reset of the printer and nothing changed.

I have the AMS2Pro installed on my Mini which is on firmware 01.07.00.00. I just tested and was able to load from the external, advance the filament through the extruder then unload without a problem. Sorry.

Yes, it loads and unloads the filament for me too. The problem is that when I start a print, before beginning the usual bed calibration (with the filament already loaded via an external spool), the printer behaves as if it doesn’t recognize the loaded hotend and starts giving me the option to load/unload filament, making me waste filament because it’s like it can’t detect that it’s already loaded. The sensor works because the light is green. I’ve tried other spools of different colors and I get the same error. The error it gives me is this, which I haven’t found online: Unknown error [07FF-8007140052].
I have a video too but i don’t know how to upload

The error is: Unknown error code [07FF-8007140335], my mistake

You probably already checked this bit. But I noticed that the AMS is still defaulted in Preview and I needed to reselect the External spool as I sent the Print Job to the printer…

Yes, alredy tested. I disconnected the AMS directly so that I only had the external coil left, but it still behaves like that when I start printing. I can’t figure out what could be causing this.

Ouch!
Silly question but did you also test with the AMS plugged in, restarted then selected the External before sending it?

Yes, unfortunately… i’ve tried everything, I don’t know where to turn anymore… i opened a ticket, Hoping they can help me, I attached the video too… thank you
