Alright gang, one thief/spammer gone, whose next that we need to start a 143 entry thread on before action is taken?
But genuinely @BambuLab thank you for doing the right thing, I know the community can often be toxic to interact with here on the forum, but a lot of us just want a better MakerWorld
Only way to hurt people like him is to make coupon codes personal and linked to account.
He violated multiple guidelines but yet his coupon codes will still be valid even tho his account got disabled
.Also if you pay some attention to his account you can tell heās using multiple accounts to get him up and running again.
Models been posted minutes ago and no matter how many downloads it has, it has the same amount of likes and visa versa
Wow talk about rebirthing, this is blatant points farming as the same models are being reuploaded. Probably get away with it as there is no guidelines against this.
Problem is theyāre leaving this little ābotā army behind. These null accounts should be deleted to prevent the stray attacks, not indicating this user but some of the other current bulk spammers seem to be left open.
Edit, just checked and most of his accounts still exist with level/download/print data intact. I am baffled why BL isnāt sweeping up afterwards.
Yeah the accounts should be fully deleted, but I guess this is the best we get. I suggested IP bans as a way to at least add an obstacle to these repeat offenders, but lots of people really did not like that idea: Repeat Copyright Offenders Should be Banned - #3 by Kit_Crafters
IP bans would be great if we lived in a world without easy VPN access. I use a VPN and have occasionally hit sites that refuse me access until I find a source server whose IP hasnāt been blocked.
Itās a case like DRM, it doesnāt stop pirates but punishes actual users
