Annoying Squeak

Sample of the noise

Can anyone help me fix this squeak? I had this printer for 2 weeks before it started doing this. I have cleaned and lubed everything after watching a few videos. Am I missing something I’m supposed to lube?

At first I thought it was z hopping that was causing it, but it definitely seem to be the X. I removed the top cap on the Z and aligned the Z axis screw(based on reading posts) but that doesn’t seem to have fixed it.

It’s coming from somewhere near the Z axis screw, possibly inside the housing for the X motor. It’s hard to tell, but it’s definitely on that side of the printer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone posted about a rattling sound on the A1 a few weeks back.
Did everything you did & nothing worked.
They put in a ticket with video to Bambu & they sent them a new Z Rod Assembly, so probably a bearing…anyway…put in a ticket.

It’s not a rattle in this case. It sounds like metal on metal squeaking. I used to hear this sound on my old Ender 3 printers when the Z screw needed lubrication, but I’ve cleaned and re-lubed everything. I also realigned that Z screw by loosening the two screws a full turn, lowering it and then tightening the outside one, raising it, then tightening the other.

I would assume lubricating something would fix the issue, but I haven’t been able to figure it out. I’ll put in a ticket and see what they say.

I’ve had a similar problem but on Y, initially I thought it was on X. Try printing something that moves Y more then it does the X and listen where it comes from

Sample of the squeak I had on Y

No amount of lubrication helped for my issue, tried them all, bought 5-6 different lubrication products to no avail, eventually I unscrewed the two screws at the back below the bed plate, pushed something there with my fingers (accidentally at first, then read it is where you tighten the belt) tightened all the screws there and it stopped squeaking. Never reported this to bambulab. I probably should.

It’s definitely when the X axis moves. I find that the very left side of the X it doesn’t make a sound, but if it’s using the right 60-70% of that rail it makes the sound. The sound is coming from the very right side of the printer. Either the Z axis screw or the X motor housing area.

My thought was that it happened when the printer was adjusting the z while printing. One side(right side I think) of the bed is slightly higher, so it was adjusting it up as it moves left to right.

The X- rail or belt roller needs love, lube up the rail and see if you can add a tiny drop of oil/spray on the rollers, I haven’t had those apart so don’t know, the tensioner roller maybe?

I am currently dealing with the same Y-Axis squeak seen in the video you posted.

Do you happen to remember what part you push in on the back to release the belt tension? I’ve tried pushing on what looks like the Tensioner block but it refuses to move at all.

I detected a squeak recently with my A1 mini.

Turned out it was the spool running out of filament causing the issue  the lighter the spool becomes, the squeekier it gets. Because the Bambu Lab inner spool diameter is large it hangs loose on the holder and knocks up against it when it has a lighter load.

Kinda surprised it’s not more fitting or that there’s no adaptor made to make it a bit more snug. This I think would prevent the issue.

Mine is more of a clicking on X axis. Originally I thought some filament got stuck in there. But did a search and it seems like it is fairly normal with these belt driven.

You find a solution and if so what fixed it?

Yes I figured it out. The grease on the z axis screw was not spreading itself out. Basically I missed lubing areas of the z screw without realizing it. It’s a tight fit for my finger so I basically missed a spot.
