Another day, another seller sells stolen designs

Hello fellow creators!

Another Etsy seller sells stolen designs: https://www.etsy.com/pl/shop/UnpracticalMagic
I see my stuff there, @luke2 's hueforges and several others.

I’ve also found my stuff (and others) on artifact3d.ro - for example, I see tons of stuff from pet contest on https://www.artifact3d.ro/magazin/pet-shop/ (everybody should check other categories too!)

On “big leagues” complaining:
I’ve filled claims to freaking wallmart :man_facepalming: and a store in Uzbekistan, most likely due to same supplier: Xinyu Xin Toys Co., Ltd.

I mean… Best Sellers, Home Essentials, 3D Printed Pet Friendly Colors Cute Hedgehog Cat Dog Self Scratcher Groomer - Walmart.com

It’s really sad to see this reality. But you know what? Makerworld gave us the exclusive program and the legal protection but i also needed them and even posted here with links too, and do you know what happened? Nothing! I had to take care of that myself and the models are still being sold by third parties because most of the time they just don’t care.
Contacting support through the provided support link does nothing because they need proof that YOU, the user that is under that same protection offered by makerworld, takes care of that before they think about doing something.

It’s really sad, honestly, but me, i let it go as i let the other useless discussion also go, and that was it.
I hope you have better luck than i had. Try contacting them directly and see what the seller says about it.

I know how it works… I have experience in people stealing my and my wife’s designs even before I ventured into 3d printing… I have fond memories of people trying to explain themselves with “but I found those photos on the internet, means they’re free right?” and then facing the reality… Among all the cased in just one we almost had to go to the court but managed to settle that out of court… And legally speaking all the legal stuff makerworld can probably do is to be a 3rd party [insert legal term here, I don’t know how that’s called in english] that has SOME interest in protecting the maker’s copyright, especialy since the “exclusive model program” binds the designer to the MakerWorld platform. And that probably amounts to only being able to write a strongly-worded letter at best.

This… with this you made me laugh. Thank you

I see he also sells a lot of STLFLIX models and I bet without a license to sell. I found 2 of my models and also reported STLFLIX to check
