Another H2D Z Banding Issue

I’m having the same issue. Checked all screws accessible, reseated the nozzles. Top of bed screw in back right needed a little tightening, about 3/4 of a turn and the back left needed about a 1/4 turn. Nothing else was loose. Check the lead screws and belts seem very tight. Lubed the lead screws and round linear rods. Print Head seems very solid with no play or movement. Tried Esun and Polymaker ABS and Elegoo PC. Both with generic profiles and Bambu profiles. Did a full calibration after tightening everything and the banding seems to be in the exact same spots. Tried ABS and Polycarbonate and different profiles and different model. The model I drew and I’m an engineer and they are not the issue.

Should I return it or what? I have 2 X1Cs that are awesome.

P.S. These are large ABS parts and they don’t seem to have warped at all. I also, of course, did run the flow calibrations from Bambu Studio. Those didn’t affect anything either.

That looks really strange.
When printing with ABS/ASA i dont get any z banding. The only banding i get with PLA because of inconsistent layertimes and/or too much cooling.

Did you dry your filament? That wont be the cause of the big lines but the smaller inconsistent layer lines could be caused by moist filament.

Yeah. New rolls and I dried it for like 8 hours. Made zero difference. Errors were in the same spots and looked the same.

Layer times strike again. We’ll figure it out one of these days.

I just printed something that has Visible Z-Banding (for the first time on my H2D). It does match the change in geometry and layer time illustration in Bambu Studio. This is printed in PLA Marble, and otherwise it’s perfect.

Any ideas on how to improve it?
