Another Overhang Issue

I’m having an issue with overhangs, even with support. The first layer in an overhang does not form properly, almost as if it’s underextruding, but I’m not experienced enough to know for certain. Below is an example print. Can someone help me figure out what settings I need to change or what is wrong with my printer (X1 Carbon)? Thanks!

I think everything is okay. The result ist what you can expect with supports.

Print it with the orientation it has in the first picture of finsished part where you marked the first layer.

The part was designed to show the issue I’m having. Also, my printer didn’t used to have this issue (I haven’t changed any settings since before the issue popped up which is strange).

It really is an issue considering a lot of my prints need tight tolerances and my parts will not be good enough until this is fixed.

Here is an example on one of such parts (my old Prusa could do prints better than this):

@ltbergeron, you haven’t provided quite enough information here. What are the current support settings you are using? What print profile are you using? If you want a stab in the dark, it looks like you are not using the right settings for your support.

You need to make sure your support density is adequate. Try 1.25 spacing. Also, with that kind of overhang I would try a 1 layer top interface with that spacing set to 0 (solid). Keep your distance to the model set at .22 rather than .2 so that to layers comes off okay. Lastly, try changing the angle of the supports to around 45 degrees. Beyond this, you need to provide more info if we are to help!
