Reported.
If they would just learn how to make their own stuff they could graduate to ripping off ideas and stop ripping off the actual models.
Nah it’s too involving and time consuming ^^ it’s easier for them to create nth fake accounts and reupload popular models in the hope of earning something in return
Surely it’s kind of an empty feeling? knowing something that’s popular isn’t even yours or is my moral compass set a little high? Sometimes as part of a learning curve I’ve tried to reproduce a design, even created re-mixs on other sites if I genuinely believe I’ve improved the original but to simply rip-off a design as my own? Nah, there’s no satisfaction to be had down that road, I just don’t get it.
Terminatordeux
this guy stole my babypool model
how long does it take once reported because he has gotten 200 downloads already
It depends. Reports are usually processed within 24-48h, if it takes longer they will probably do nothing. I reported it as well.
But did you use the copyright claim or the report? Because those two works differently. With copyright claims, there is an history of the complain and you can follow the status and see if it’s successful or rejected. And since your are the author and it’s a paid model, copyright claims can work better in your case.
But I never use the copyright claim, so I can’t tell you how long it takes to be processed.
Amazing work by the way, I hope it will be resolved swiftly🤞
reported it for you as well
I miss the days when they bothered to reply “Your report was denied”.
At least you know.
I believe they get the first report and any that comes after a decision is made is ignored, with no communication at all.
The mark of a great company.
Especially one that requires the goodwill of the communities to help clean up the mess they appear to have forsaken.
have the same issue with Esty
They are worried about false reports so much they ignore real ones
i used both and entered a support ticket
where do i see the claim status too?
so the item was removed, but he gets to stay on the site with other models?
Also does he get to keep the points and boost he pirated?
In the time it took to remove the post the file was downloaded over 220 times, it sells for $12. That is a loss of over $2500. theft of this amount should not allow the user to use this site without repercussions
yeah thats not right, they should be banned for such infringement, not just a slap on the wrist
You can access your copyright claims on the handy app.
I think his account won’t last long. I just checked "his"more popular model and it 's also stolen.

Another one, it should be a remix not an original ( And I suspect that the Stargate is not his model either)

UPDATE
All “his” models were removed
Another one in the Halloween contest…
I just replied over there. Once we’ve reached a conclusion, I’ll do whatever is appropriate and necessary to rectify. I was trying to make Halloween a bit more fun while incrementally learning some skills. I especially do not want to steal anyone’s work, and my approach was to err on the side of caution to avoid problems. If I made a mistake, I’m sorry.
Idea - It would be useful if BL used smarts to show “similar models” for our own files we create - thinking of this being in the “Uploads” section in our profile vs the pubic view but maybe works there too… Would make it easier to a) see if what I have created could conflict, or vice-versa. The latter being most useful for this subject (checking to see if others are ripping off yours) Sometimes I whip stuff up fast purely from imagination and looking at something (e.g. recently I modeled an extended version of a part on my RC crawler). Doesn’t necessarily mean they are rip-offs. More of a suggestive “hey by the way…” notification.
